I am getting a lot of positive feedback from my single so I am expecting to get busy with scheduled interviews, performances and the video for the single. However, I currently still have a day job until that time comes.

Artist Autobiography

My name is Princess Tafara Omega Ellis. I am 21 years old. I was born on July 10th 1984, at my home in Queensborough, Kingston, Jamaica. I now reside in the Charlton area. I am the last of five children. I have four older brothers. My music is positive and uplifting for all ages.

My single entitled "Weh yuh waan duh" is currently playing on the radio. It is calling for all the violence to stop and for everyone to live together in peace. I am looking into doing some work with Dr. Ward of The Ministry of Health for her campaign against violence using entertainment. I think her effort should get the full support of the music industry.

I have been singing since the age of three. I have been performing since that age as well. I first performed in Basic School (Pre-School), and continued performing through-out my school life. When I started Meadowbrook High School at age ten, I immediately joined the choir. I remained a member for the five years of High School. I learnt a lot about music, keys, tones, octaves, and voice training.

While in high school, I formed a group with my two friends called 2 Wild. After we finished school we performed at a few places. These include: Weddings,  Funerals,  A Christmas party for the Ministry of Health, McDonald’s Awards Ceremony, The Asylum After-Work-Jam, , and The Caribbean Championships for The Performing Arts where we placed 2nd in our category. We also did a television interview for a youth program called "Yow" which aired on CVM TV, TVJ, and CTV. However, in 2003 we decided to persue separate things.  I choose to stay in music. Since then, I have performed at Holy Childhood School Concert 2003 and Sound Off on CVM TV.

I sing and I write many types of music. These include soul, R&B, hip-hop, rap, pop, jazz, rock, dancehall, reggae, and European dance. My albums will include all these types of music in their natural forms and combined to show my versatility.

Performing arts, reading, movies, dancing, cooking, socializing, and studying London history are some of my hobbies. In the future, I aspire to own a restaurant, a record label, a fashion company, maybe a production company and a floral shop. I am also going to get a degree in psychology.

I am very determined, strong-minded, persistent and confident. I believe these are good qualities to have, especially in this business. I have a very pleasant personality and I am usually smiling most of the year. It is hard to get me down. Sometimes I am asked if I ever get sad just because I smile so much. My smile is one of my best features.

I know I was meant to sing because it is all I have ever wanted to do. Singing is like second nature to me. I usually don’t realize I’m doing it until someone points it out to me. You know in your heart and soul when you are meant to do something. I want to touch people all through-out the world with my music. I also want them to be able to relate to me.

I am a very caring, loving, and spiritual person with a strong belief in the almighty. All my decisions are made with him in mind. I am a fun-loving person and fun to be around. I can be very shy in nature but when I am on stage I am a different person. I just let go of everything and let it flow. The feeling is indescribable.

I am getting a lot of positive feedback from my single so I am expecting to get busy with scheduled interviews, performances and the video for the single. However, I currently still have a day job until that time comes.
